About Me

JOHN HENRY
This blog is a chronological display, from most recent to earliest [experimental] works, at the inception of my career as an artist. What is an artist I often ask myself, and you may wonder, as these days we are surrounded with creative imagery and stimulus in so many forms, from a simple line on a page or brush stroke on canvas, to (photo)graphics, and video imagery on our computer devices. All having something to say, show, and relay about our experience on this planet. I have always been drawn to, and in awe of the beauty of nature and the peace that it evokes. Having lived across Canada, settling in Vancouver in 1983, and having had the opportunity to travel the world, I've grown and shifted... all along witnessing the city I love and it's natural surroundings shifting and growing as well. Most of the images reflected here focus on our connections to our natural and manmade environments, that which surrounds us, in Vancouver, Canada and the world.
